I borrowed a friend's camera and videotaped the festivities. The video, which is approximately
1 hour and 8 min in running time, contains footage of the crowd gathering prior to the event, as well as an auction of
Dark Shadows memorabilia hosted by Festival organizer Jim Pierson. I also conducted a brief video interview with another celebrity in attendance, a star of the soap opera
PASSIONS, Miss Jade Harlow, who by her own admission is a huge Dark Shadows fan. BONUS FOOTAGE. Additional footage of a 1998 visit to Louis Edmonds home will be added to this tape.
Approximately 3 min in length, the footage features Louis talking about how he acquired some shutters for his Long Island home off the original Old House used for
Dark Shadows. Louie also tells a funny story about Dark Shadows producer Robert Costello and the graveyard next to Louie's home. Two video clips from the tape have been added to the site and are offered in two file formats. The picture and sound quality of the original video have been drastically reduced to yield a smaller file size due to TopCities.com's size limitations. The original video was recorded with a Sony 72x High 8mm camera and is far superior to the clips.
Select the file type appropriate for your tastes and your system requirements.
Video clips were captured as mpgs by Scarlett (Portraits of Collinwood) and compressed to AVI and Real Video files by the webmaster for use on this site. Special thanks to Stuart Manning (Dark Shadows Journal Online) for technical advice regarding the Real Video clips. |
