For several of my friends and I, our trip began the weekend before with a trip to Essex,Conn & Newport, R.I. to visit Dark Shadows related locations.

In these photos above we see several of the group standing in front of the Griswold Inn. The Inn was used for exterior shots for the t.v. series version of the Collinsport Inn. Essex displays their patriotism by lining their streets with Red, White and Blue. Also pictured is a private residence that served for the exterior shots of the Evans cottage, as well as a photo of the Essex Marina that was used as the exterior of the Collins Family Cannery. Here we see the group dining at the Griswold Inn.
